Wish Week begins March 7 at BPHS
It’s that time of year again. During the week of March 7 -11, you will have a chance for SGA to make your wish come true. That’s right, it’s Wish Week!
There will be boxes found in all four rotundas. Write your wish, name, grade and homeroom on a slip of paper and drop it in a box.
Not all wishes will be granted. The more creative your wish is the more likely it will be granted. However, this year SGA will not be granting wishes for food, drinks, or gift cards.
SGA senator Haley Radcliffe said, “We (SGA) will be looking for more authentic wishes where we can try and bend the rules or change something temporarily to grant creative wishes.”
Examples of acceptable wishes include shadowing teachers, parking in Dr. J’s spot, or donating to your favorite charity.
Mr. Allemang said, “I look forward to Wish Week every year. Last year, SGA granted two of Hawk Eye‘s wishes. They gave us Chick-Fil-A and Papa John’s pizza. Although we were very thankful for these kind gestures, I understand that they are unrealistic.”
March 7-11 is also Spirit Week. SGA will be conducting several fundraisers to benefit the Cancer Research Institute.
Any day at lunch during Spirit Week, everyone is encouraged to make a $1 or more donation for a chance to pie Dr. J in the face. On March 11, SGA will be hosting Counting for Coins. Everyone encouraged to bring in coins. For the teachers who are participating, students can delay class by bringing in coins.
The dress-up days are as follows:
- Monday– Lazy Day
- Tuesday– Crazy Sock Day
- Wednesday– Twin with Your Squad Day
- Thursday– Jersey Day
- Friday– Flannel Friday
