Students submit Doritos commercial for "Doritos: Crash the Super Bowl" contest

Superbowl commercials: you all know the funny commercials big name brands spend millions of dollars to try to sell their products. Doritos is a master when it comes to Superbowl commercials and they upped the ante this year.

Doritos is offering a $1 million prize and a job at Universal Pictures. The ten finalists all get trips to the Superbowl.

Three students at BPHS made a commercial that is a semi-finalist. They are freshmen Josh Crist, Hayden Dahlstrom, and Cameron Bush.

Josh’s uncle is the man that edited and added special effects to the video. “He used a system called Adobe Premiere CC,” said Josh. He even had the idea to do it in the first place. He got the idea while watching one of the students’ freshman football games. Josh had two receptions and they won the game.

You might be asking, What would 14-year-olds do with one million dollars? The answer is they would split it and buy different things. Each with $300,000, Josh would keep it and buy a car, Hayden would put his in the bank and Cameron would buy a boat.

As for the Super Bowl, since they are all football fans, it would be a cool experience for all of them. Since none of them have been to a Super Bowl, it gives them even more of a desire to win the contest. Josh predicts that the Dolphins and Cardinals will be in it.

This could be a big moment for these students and we wish them the best of luck.
