BPHS Marketing students Amanda Stofesky and Tara Nath submitted a video entry in the 2013 DECA IDEA challenge.
The challenge was to find a solution to the problem, “How can you use an aluminum beverage can to create value while being feasible and sustainable?”
The girls answered the questions by providing the idea of “Alumicans.” Alumicans are candle holders for any special occasion. It provides a way to reuse aluminum cans without hurting the environment.
Amanda and Tara submitted their video on YouTube. The winner of the challenge, which will be chosen on December 12, will receive $1,000 and recognition by DECA and Global Entrepreneurship Week. The US Winning Team will also be recognized at DECA’s International Career Development Conference in Atlanta, GA.
