This year was the last year of Knowledge Master before the competition is ended, and Bethel Park not only participated but did well, finishing 26th in the State.
When asked about Knowledge Master, participant Jarrod Cingel said, “I’m really happy that Bethel Park was able to be competitive in the final Knowledge Master Open that will ever take place. Finishing 26th in the state is a solid score when you look at the large number of schools competing, and we all learned a lot from the experience.”
The Knowledge Master Open is a competition where students from a school all work together to answer questions that are projected on a screen and controlled by one person at the computer.
Points are earned by answering the questions accurately and quickly. The higher the score, the better.
The questions, which range in difficulty from extremely easy to very challenging, include many different subjects such as: American history, world history, government, recent events, economics & law, geography, literature, English, math, physical science, biology, earth science, health & psychology, fine arts, and useless trivia.
Bethel Park’s 26th place finish in the State is exceptional considering the number of teams who participated.
Congrats to all BPHS students who competed in Knowledge Master!
