Bethel Park High School students have been carefully roaming throughout the community avoiding elimination.
PACS and Habitat for the Humanity are currently sponsoring the 2nd annual Habitat Games.
The Games, which began May 1st and will continue until June 7th, consist of teams of two who have to eliminate other teams by squirting a water bottle at each person. Once players have been hit by water, they’re out of the game completely. If the other person of your team is still remaining, they are still in the game. Teams must have a water bottle to squirt with, and they may replace a water bottle with a water balloon.
The game has Safe Zones, Shields, and Retailiation. Safe Zones consist of being inside the participant’s home and in a vehicle that has the motor on. Also, participants can have bodyguards to shield them if they are willing to do so.
The names of the targets were randomly chosen and given to the participants at a recent meeting. Once players find out which target they have, they have until a week later to eliminate them.
At the end of the games, one team will be the winner and will receive a gift card of their choice.
Many of the students really enjoy playing this game as it is very competitive. One player, Alyssa Debski, said, “The game is so intense. Finding your target is hard, but avoiding the team targetting you is the hardest.”
