While walking through the 3rd floor rotunda, it would not be uncommon for people to be blindsided by the “Black Eagle,” a pure masterpiece created by one of our very own students.
Last week on March 7th, Danielle Skaris, a junior at Bethel Park High School, was entered into the Three Rivers German Day Art Competition. Danielle did not place, although many teachers and administrators believe she should have.
Danielle began painting in 7th grade, and was influenced to start painting by her favorite artist, Charmaine Olivia.
Her painting is called “Schwarze Adler” which is German for Black Eagle. The Black Eagle is the symbol of Germany, which influenced her to make her original acrylic painting.
