Sony Pictures wants you in their next movie

Do you have an older brother, cousin, or friend that played football in high school? Well, Sony Pictures is looking for them.

At 9 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 4, Sony Pictures will be at the high school practice turf for an open tryout to be an extra in their upcoming football movie Brain Gain. Extras should be between the ages of 18 and 30 and have prior football experience at the high school or college level. Anyone interested in trying out should wear workout gear and bring football cleats. Extras will be paid $250 for one rehearsal day and $400 for one day of filming.

If you know someone who isn’t so great at sports, there’s still a chance for them to be involved. The crew is additionally looking for people of the same age to act as football fans, administrators, reporters, and lawyers.

The lead role in the movie is portrayed by Will Smith. He will play Dr. Bennet Omalu. The story is about discovering the link between football and brain injuries and is based on a true story. Dr. Omalu first discovered Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy also known as CTE and brought awareness of brain injury to the public.

If you know someone who wants to participate, make sure that they arrive on time and are completely available for both the filming and rehearsal day.

This is a great opportunity for the people of Bethel Park to get a little bit of insight into what goes on in the creation of a real movie.
