Final tips for taking finals
Finals are fast approaching, and whether you have three or nine, they can be extremely stressful at this time of year. Here are a few tips for completing a successful final:
- Go to bed at a decent time
- Drink a lot of water
- Take notes and study them
- Eat a healthy breakfast
- Prepare your backpack for the day with the materials you’ll need
- Don’t stress
- Participate in class review time
- Complete your study guides
Students who follow these tips are likely to perform better on their final exams, rather than those who don’t.
Whenever the end of the year is near, kids have a tendency to not care anymore, especially when graduation for seniors is only two weeks away. Make sure that when you are taking your final, you are focused, and if your teacher is allowing you to use a study guide, USE IT. The teacher is basically giving you the answers to the test, so take advantage of that.
Eating a healthy breakfast and getting a good night’s sleep is key to performing well on your test. Students who are sleep deprived and have a habit of skipping breakfast will be unfocused and uncomfortable the entire time, while showing higher levels of stress than those who do sleep and eat regularly.
Lastly, keep your eye on the prize. You’re almost there. Don’t mess it up now.
