“They weren’t human, they were monsters; all monsters are human.”

So, here we have a quote from the show American Horror Story: Asylum. Basically, what is going on in this scene is Kit (Evan Peters) is explaining to Sister Jude (Jessica Lange) what he saw abduct his wife and describing them as monsters.

Sister Jude explains that all monsters are human.

In a way, she’s right. All monsters ARE human. We as humans, act out of basic needs, drives, and desires, and our emotions prevail over reason, much like animals. We can be horrifyingly rude, scary, mean, etc. causing people to view us as monsters.

This is one of my favorite quotes, because of where it came from, and because of its deep meaning.
