Soothing Song Sunday: “Otherside” by Red Hot Chili Peppers
This week’s Soothing Song Sunday features Red Hot Chili Peppers song, “Otherside.”
Red Hot Chili Peppers became a band around 1983-1984, and were based out of Los Angeles. The band includes Anthony Kiedis as lead vocalist, Flea on the bass guitar, Chad Smith on the drums, and with a long list of lead guitarist the most notable are Dave Navarro, and Josh Frusciante.
The red Hot Chili Peppers are currently one of the most best-selling bands of all time with over 80 million records sold worldwide. Other notable hits from the band include “Under The Bridge,” “Californication,” “Can’t Stop,” and “Snow (Hey Oh)” just to name a few.
The song was released on January 11, 2000. “Otherside” is a song about addiction and what it is like to go through it. When you put your headphones on, or turn your speaker on and listen to this song you will know why it’s a soothing song.
