On March 21, the movie that everyone had anticipated finally came out– Divergent.
Divergent is a book series that has taken the hearts of many readers. The book series is made by the famous Veronica Roth.
Because the book series has become such a favorite in everyday readers, the directors of this movie really had to step up to the plate.
Divergent is about a society that has five factions: Dauntless, Abnegation, Candor, Amity, and Erudite.
Each of these factions describe who one is, and when you turn 16, you can choose what factions best fit your personality.
These are what the factions describe:
- Dauntless: Bravery, Courage
- Abnegation: Selflessness
- Candor: Honestly, Order
- Amity: Kindness, Peace
- Erudite: Intelligence
Everyone has a place in the society, no matter where you first come from. But there are few that aren’t just one faction, they are many. And these people are called Divergent.
The movie, even though it did not perfectly imitate the book, was a great success.
The directors picked an awesome cast that really brought the characters to life.
Also, even though some parts of the movie were different than the book, the movie really did follow most of the story.
Also, the landscape in the movie really portrayed what the book always talked about.
This movie is definitely worth seeing because of the way it drags viewers into the story and keeps you there. No one was bored with the movie, even though it was over two hours long.
