BP’s “The Flash” strikes again
One of our own James Krandel is currently the fastest man in the state of Pennsylvania. This weekend, Krandel ran the fastest time for the 60 meter dash clocking in at 6.99 seconds. This earned him the fastest time in the entire state and first place at Bethel Park’s meet at Edinboro.
Alongside his tremendous run in the 60 meter, Krandel also won first place in the 200 meter race. His “flashing” speed awarded him a time of 22.61 seconds and earned him 9th in the state for the 200, as well.
Being as fast as Krandel is, seeing him run can be described simply as a blur. Around BPHS, nicknames have been floating around for the senior. The most fitting one, however, is “The Flash,” given to him by an unknown source.
When asked what motivates him to run so fast, Krandel said, “I just always want to live up to my motto in life, if you’re not first you’re last.”
