In the halls of BPHS, one student consistently stands out: Megan Gaskill.
Recently, Gaskill made headlines by committing to Penn West California, where she plans to pursue her passion for pre-veterinary technology.
Gaskill’s high school journey exemplifies hard work, leadership, and dedication to her interests, making her an inspiring figure amongst her fellow students and a beloved member of the Bethel Park community.
This would be furthered by Gaskill being recognized as Student of the Month, a fitting accolade for someone who consistently demonstrates leadership, dedication, and a positive attitude.
“I think earning the Extra Effort Award made me realize how much I’ve accomplished over these 4 years. I have a fear of failure, so especially being a senior and senioritis already hitting, I push to maintain my grades so I can get into a great college,” said Gaskill when asked why she thought she received the award.
In addition to excelling academically, Gaskill serves as a leader within the BPHS Bethettes, where her role as squad leader highlights her ability to motivate and inspire those around her.
She encourages camaraderie and enthusiasm within the squad, ensuring that every member feels valued and empowered to perform at their best.
Beyond her athletic commitments, Gaskill displays her creativity and talent through her involvement with the school’s yearbook and Hawk Eye’s photography team.
Her eye for detail shines in the photographs she captures for the Renegade frisbee team, documenting memorable moments and celebrating her teammates.
Gaskill’s involvement doesn’t stop there; she is also an active member of the Homecoming Committee and Campus Life, showing her enthusiasm for promoting school pride and student engagement.
Her contributions to these organizations are crucial in creating a welcoming environment at BPHS.
As she prepares for her transition to higher education, Gaskill is excited to dive deeper into her academic pursuits at Penn West California.
Her choice of major in pre-veterinary technology underlines her passion for animals and her desire to help them.
When asked about her excitement for college, Gaskill shared: “I am very excited for college! I can’t wait to decorate my dorm, make new friends, and have different experiences! But I’m also slightly nervous since I won’t see my family and friends every day.”
With her strong leadership abilities, sense of creativity, and dedication to her studies, Gaskill is undoubtedly a rising star.
The Bethel Park community takes pride in her achievements and eagerly anticipates the positive contributions she will make in the future, both on campus and in the world of veterinary care.
Gaskill’s journey is a testament to the power of passion, dedication, and community involvement.
