Fantastically Fabulous Feature: Mang Mang and his honorable ties
This week’s Fantastically Fabulous Feature goes to English teacher Mr. John Allemang who was nominated for his honorable ties! Way to go Mang!
Mang made it crystal clear that he only wears first-class ties known as Jerry Garcia.
“They are characterized by their bright colors and abstract designs. Each tie is given a unique name; this one here is titled ¨Cat Ghost.” I’m not sure why it’s called that,¨ Mang said.
¨I started my tie collection about three years ago. I have ten ties in my collection, my mom and wife usually get me them for my birthday or for Christmas.¨
Mang says he keeps a close eye on his ties and does NOT let anyone borrow them.
¨Jerry Garcia ties are the Triconderoga of the tie community,¨ Mang said.
He was feeling generous and was willing to share a few tips and tricks on his tie routine.
¨Every morning before I go to work, I wake up extra early and iron all ten of my ties and neatly put them on hangers. At night, I take attendance, I call each one by their name.¨
Mang said that he feels confident while wearing his ties and looks down on his colleagues who don’t wear Jerry Garcia.
“I get about a dozen compliments every day on my ties, sometimes a baker’s dozen.¨
Thanks, Mr. Allemang, for your tips! Congrats on being this week’s featured Fantastically Fabulous Feature.

J Garcia ties are ugly and tacky in my opinion.
