Unique Talent Tuesday: Thomas Black and his incredible impersonation of the President
Did you know that senior student Thomas Black is able to do amazing impersonations?
This week’s Unique Talent Tuesday features Tom and his impersonations of President Barack Obama.
When asked when he first started his impersonations, he said, “About three or four years ago.”
He found his talent of impersonations from his family.
“I was listening with my family to a speech that President Obama was giving and I tried to sound like him. My Family told me how good it (the impersonation) sounded and after that, I kept trying different impressions.”
Not only can Tom do President Obama’s impersonation, but also a few others as well!
“I can mimic George Takei, Dr. Phil, Christopher Walken, and a couple Presidents as well.”
Although his impersonation of President Obama is his most mastered, he is constantly working on new ones and exploring other styles of tones and voices.
When asked if he could mimic one of Hawk Eye’s staff writers, Tom answered, “It would take a little while to get their voice, but after a couple attempts I probably could.”
We’ll have to take you up on that offer, Tom! Congrats on being this week’s Unique Talent Tuesday.
