There she goes dribbling down the field, shoots, and it’s a goal for #4 Grace Ferency! Grace is a senior and has been in Hawk Eye for one year.
When asked why she joined the Hawk Eye staff, Grace said, “I took Scholastic Publications to get more involved with my school and help with the yearbook. I am interested in creating different designs for sports gameday posts.”
Grace plans to contribute to both the yearbook and sports social media posts and articles as she enjoys writing pre and post-game reports for the different sporting events.
You’ll also be able to find Grace on the soccer field as she is #4 on the girls varsity soccer team. But not for long, because after high school, Grace will be playing Division I soccer at Duquesne University where she’ll be majoring in business.
Though Grace said this regarding her favorite memory as a BPHS soccer player: “It would be scoring my first goal as a freshman on varsity for the first time. I also enjoy our pre-game warmup playlist every year to help us get ready.”
When Grace isn’t scoring goals on the soccer field, you can also find her playing pickleball and tennis as they are some of her favorite hobbies.
Other than her athletic acumen, Grace shared, “My dream vacation would be visiting Lake Como in Italy. I’ve always wanted to visit Italy but Lake Como specifically is one place I want to see in my lifetime.”
Maybe she’d bring a Starbucks strawberry refresher with no berries because Grace admitted to preferring Starbucks over Dunkin.
What would be helpful to get her to Starbucks could be teleportation which Grace also stated would be her dream superpower.
So next time you see Grace in Starbucks, be welcome to come say “Hey!”
