The girls varsity volleyball team was in search of a much-needed section win when they hosted Baldwin on Thursday night.

Not only did they win, they swept the Highlanders 3-0.

The Lady Hawks now stand at 1-3 in their section.

They travel to Canon-McMillan on Tuesday to officially close the first half of section play. They’ll host Pine Richland on Thursday and then head to the South Fayette tournament on Saturday.

The Lady Hawks are led by a talented group of seniors, including Alayna Owen, Essa George, Gabby Gealey, and Brooke Kessler.
