Damian Lillard #0 of the Portland Trail Blazers against the Cleveland Cavaliers on January 16, 2019 at Moda Center in Portland, Oregon.

The Portland Trail Blazers defeated the Oklahoma City Thunder at the buzzer with a final score of 118-115. The final shot was made by none other than point-guard Damian Lillard, finishing the game with a playoff high of 50 points. The Trail Blazers won the series 4-1, one game shy of the sweep.

This series out of the rest of NBA’s playoffs seemed a tad more entertaining, due to the Lillard vs. Westbrook rivalry. Westbrook has averaged a triple-double the past two years, and won Most-Valuable Player of the NBA in 2016. Lillard, however, was not afraid of the high energy, high flying Westbrook, and simply controlled the series, averaging 33 points, six assists, and four rebounds per game.

Trash talk had reached its peak in the series between the two, and Lillard had this to say: “Iā€™m going to get the last laugh,ā€ he said. ā€œI promise you that.ā€

The Trail Blazers are set to play the Houston Rockets, who beat the Utah Jazz 4-1.
