Junior guard Ryan Meis dribbles past his opponent in the Hawks’ game vs. Steel Valley on Dec. 7.

Ryan Meis is a junior at BPHS and currently plays basketball for the high school team and has played on the baseball team and the golf team early in his career. He is also an active member of Hawk Eye and has lots of school spirit. He attends all sporting events from football games to girls basketball games.

Meis’ brother Justin is a Division 1 athlete (baseball player), and he hopes to follow in his footsteps.

He is very serious about his academics and plans on furthering his education to college where he hopes to one day play basketball as well.

He maintains a solid GPA of 4.0. His favorite class is World History with Mr. Gentile.

Facing some brutal section opponents, the basketball team has suffered tough losses this season, but they look to gain control in the second half of the section and make a leap towards playoffs.

Meis is a first team all-section basketball player. He is averaging around 20 points per game and around six assists.

The boys basketball team needs the school’s support in their march to the playoffs as they hope to round out section play.
