Gavin Campbell signs with St. Leo
On the night of Monday, Nov. 13, Gavin Campbell made a commitment to pursue the sport of lacrosse past the high school level. Gavin has officially signed a commitment with Saint Leo University.
Saint Leo University has been in talks with Gavin for about a year. Gavin was first noticed by them at The Madlax East Showcase, where they saw his skills on display in a large tournament. Saint Leo is a division two college lacrosse team.
When asked about this signing, Gavin said, “Saint Leo provides a wealth of opportunities for my moving into the future.”
Gavin is a true athlete, playing defense for the varsity team and will continue to play defense at Saint Leo.
“It’s senior year, we are going for the WPIAL championship.” This is what the veteran varsity player had to say about his upcoming season with Bethel Park. As this commit still has a season left with his current team, it’s safe to say that Gavin will not just coast his final year; instead, he will attempt to help to lead the Black Hawks’ lacrosse team to a championship.
This commitment is a huge accomplishment for Gavin and he deserves an equally huge congratulations.
