Bethettes, majorettes name ’25-’26 leadership!

The marching band’s Bethettes and majorettes have selected their leadership for the 2025-2026 season. 

On Feb. 28, any upcoming junior or senior interested in becoming a squad leader for next school year attended tryouts. They had to demonstrate their marching skills and perform their feature routine from the past marching band season. 

Bethettes have eight squads and two heads, so they selected 10 squad leaders. Any senior who was selected as a squad leader was able to audition for head Bethette. The 10 squad leaders selected are Evarett Briggs, Lily Christian, Madison Geraud, Samantha Metzler, Lyla Paull, Emily Reid, Marley Rose, and Ella Schall.

Lily Christian will be an upcoming senior for this season, and when asked how she feels about being a squad leader, she said, “I love being a squad leader because I get to meet people and have something to look forward to every Friday!” 

Head Bethette/majorette tryouts occurred on April 4, and judges selected the new Heads. 

Head majorette for the 2025-2026 season is Hawk Eye’s very own Gabriella Walsh. She’s been a majorette since freshman year and is very excited to wear the white this fall.

Gabriella said: “I’m looking forward to being head majorette next year and carrying on the Bethel Park traditions. I can’t wait to enjoy Friday nights with the rest of the majorettes and my friends in the marching band and bethettes.”

Head Bethettes for the 2025-2026 season are Halie Minor and Emily Wiles. They both have been Bethettes since freshman year!

Minor dances at Judy Murtaugh Dance Studio and Wiles dances with Studio 412! Both Minor and Wiles are very excited to be the upcoming head Bethettes!

Minor said: “I’m so excited and honored to be chosen as one of the head Bethettes for the 2025-2026 season! I can’t wait to work alongside Emily and make so many new memories with everyone this season!”

Wiles said: “I’m so honored to have this opportunity to be one of the head Bethettes next year! And I’m so excited to work with Halie and see what we can bring to the band next season!” 

For this upcoming season, it’s safe to say that the Bethettes and majorettes have an amazing leadership team lined up!

Imagine seeing a brunette girl with blonde highlights taking pictures for our school year.  That girl is Elizabeth Corrins. Elizabeth is heading into her junior year and is excited to be part of Hawk Eye.   Music review stories interest her the most. Elizabeth plans on taking yearbook pictures and editing the yearbook.  She joined because Mr. Allemang is her favorite teacher.   Currently, she is a Bethette and involved in the yearbook and student government.  Her favorite Bethette memory is marching down the field during halftime, doing Bethel Victory for the first time.   Elizabeth also attends Judy Murtaugh Dance Studio.  Her favorite type of dance is tap. In her free time, you can find her at marching band practice, taking pictures for yearbook at a sporting event, or at home doing homework.   If Elizabeth had a superpower it would be teleportation.   Her dream vacation would be Punta Cana, a coastal town in the Dominican Republic.   “A picnic during sunset” is what Elizabeth considers a perfect date.   Her favorite Starbucks order is an iced caramel chai with two shots of espresso. If she would have dinner with a famous person she would choose Hannah Montana.  Elizabeth cannot decide if her song is either “Best of Both Worlds” or “The Climb.”     Written by: Gabriella Walsh, staff member
