Bethel Park residents are marking their calendars and preparing to make a difference as NHS is proud to announce its annual winter blood drive held on Thursday, Jan. 9, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
This vital event, hosted in collaboration with Vitalant, encourages community members to step up and donate blood, helping save countless lives.
Blood donation is essential for various reasons, whether it’s providing necessary blood transfusions during surgeries or lending a hand to patients suffering from chronic illnesses.
With every unit of blood collected, you could be helping patients in local hospitals who desperately need these lifesaving resources.
Additionally, for each blood donation received, the Bethel Park NHS earns funds that help support various initiatives and programs throughout the school year.
By donating, people are not only helping the community but also contributing to the enrichment of the student’s educational experiences.
The BPHS Winter Blood Drive invites everyone aged 16 and older to participate.
No prior affiliation with BPHS is necessary! The event is open to all members of the community, so bring friends, family, and neighbors. Every donation can make a difference!
Don’t worry if you didn’t sign up in advance as walk-ins are welcome! If available on that day, feel free to stop by and lend support.
It’s a simple yet powerful way to give back to the community and help those in need.
The BPHS Winter Blood Drive is not just an event but a lifeline for many in our community.
Every drop counts and any participation could make all the difference in someone’s life. The event serves as a great opportunity to engage with others and to help those in need.
