BPHS students are clamoring through the halls as they prepare for this year’s homecoming weekend.

This year’s theme is “Under the Sea,” and students and staff enjoyed the following spirit days this past week:  Mele Kalikimaka Monday (Hawaiian Christmas), Coral Reef Tuesday (Neon), Vacation Destination Day Wednesday, Jersey Thursday, and  Beach Friday (Hawaiian shirts, beach hats, sunglasses, lifeguard hoodies, etc).

Last Friday, students dove head-first into homecoming week with the pep rally where many activities were featured such as the introduction of the homecoming court.

This weekend’s festivities begin with the parade at 5:30 p.m. which begins at St. Val’s and makes its way down Broad Street and Black Hawk Drive.

Before kickoff, the homecoming awards will be given to select students and staff honoring their extra efforts and dedication to BPHS.

The Hawks take the field against the Hillers at 7 p.m.

At halftime, a new homecoming king, queen, prince, and princess will be crowned. The nominees are Marcus Sterling, Jack Bruckner, Cody Roberts, Joe DePasquale, Finn O’Neill, Ella Milliken, Cassidy Sullivan, Chela Miller, Alyvia Sohyda, and Ally Wolling.

The homecoming dance begins at 7 p.m. Saturday night in the BPHS cafeteria.  It looks as if Homecoming 2024 will make a big splash.
