DECA comes up big at Nationals
27 DECA students traveled to Orlando for the DECA International Conference which took place April 26- May 1.
Junior Caleb Shook came in second place in Human Resources Management, and he won a Top 10 Test Medallion and Top Role Play B Medallion. He competed against 200 people from the United States and other countries. This is also his first year participating in DECA.
Sophomore Michael Conroy was one of the top 20 finalists in Public Relations plan. Other team members involved in this were Julia Casaldi, Amber Simeone and Makayla Yee, but they were unable to attend. These team members have been involved with DECA for two years.
“Internationals was a great experience and a lot of fun,” said Conroy.
Congratulations to all the participants and winners at DECA, and good luck next year!
