Marching Band is ready to perform in annual Community Day Parade
The Bethel Park Marching Band has many performances that they take part in every year, but one performance that is really fun and special for them is the annual Community Day Parade.
On the day of the parade, the band arrives at BPHS at 7:30 a.m. They get into their uniform and hop on a bus which takes them to the parking lot of the Bethel Park Public Library.
There they warm up and get ready to perform.
They march from that point all the way back to the high school; marching on Black Hawk Drive.
When they arrive back at the school; they do a “stand-still” performance which means that they play music without marching. This helps kick-off all of the fun activities for the day.
Junior Nick Williams said that he is very excited to be playing in his third Community Day Parade. He is most excited to be playing Hot Time Bethel Victory which has been a tradition at Bethel Park for many decades.
He said, “You can’t have a Community Day without Hot Time Bethel Victory.”
Nick believes that this will be another good performance for the Bethel Park Marching Band.
The band hopes to see you at Community Day on Saturday, Sept. 29 at the BPHS parking lot.
Every Friday night, the football games are full of fun and marching band music. The marching band plays throughout the game with unity and confidence....
