Come and see the 50th Annual Marching Band Festival
On Saturday, Oct. 7, BPHS will be hosting their annual Marching Band Festival.
It will begin at 7 p.m. at the BPHS Stadium.
This will be the 50th annual band festival Bethel has hosted.
Mr. Thompson, the director of the Bethel Park Marching Band, said this about the event: “This is the 50th anniversary of our marching band festival, which is one of the longest running non-competitive marching band festivals in western Pennsylvania. In addition to this being a milestone anniversary, we are hosting the second ever alumni band event.”
In addition to the festival, Bethel Park is inviting back any band alumni from previous years to come and perform with them.
This festival will be featuring performances from the schools of Gateway, North Hills, Charleroi, Avonworth, Mt. Lebanon, and of course Bethel Park.
Bethel Park will preforming songs from both their first and second half time shows.
They will feature songs from famous artists such as Bob Dylan and Jimi Hendrix and the Beatles. The band will also perform their signature drill, “Hot Time” and “Bethel Victory.”
Those are only a few of the things you can expect to see out of their performance, there are many more besides the previously mentioned.
The band is prepared to put on a great show and are full of excitement for it. Just ask any of the members or Bethettes!
“I feel honored and excited to be a part of such a big tradition,” said Senior Bethette Lara Aubele. “I can’t wait to perform with the band and other Bethettes.”
Tickets for the festival will be sold at the door for $10. The event will be held rain or shine.

I am personally in the Marching band, and I feel so pumped for this Saturday! I hope every single student in the school will show up to the festival.
