Tiger Burkes wins Man of the Year 2016
After Tiger tangoed with a broomstick, it was clear that he would be the Man of the Year 2016.
Thursday, Dec. 8 was definitely a night to remember, as it was the annual MOTY show, but Christmas edition.
If you attended the MOTY show, you saw a handful of events take place, such as the game of minute to win it, where contestants needed to bounce as many pencils as they could in a cup in one minute. The winner for that particular competition was senior Rob Morosetti.
There were other competitions too, such as an ugly sweater competition and a talent portion where each grade competing performed a certain talent. The winner of the talent competition was sophomore Mason Bussard, and the winner of the ugly sweater competition was senior Matt Stearns.
After each grade performed their dance number, the finalists for the MOTY award were announced, followed by the winner of the 2016 MOTY award.
On winning the award, Tiger Burkes said, “My dog’s name is Chico, my other dog’s name is Sydney, snow is white, dirt is brown, and I’m just here so I don’t get fined.”
The MOTY show never fails to disappoint, and it was a great time for all who went.
When asked if he had any closing comments, Burkes said, “Well, do you really want me to talk to myself?”
