Students and staff pose in blue on Blue T-shirt Day.

On Tuesday, Oct. 13, students and staff of BPHS wore blue T-shirts for Blue T-shirt Day.

By doing this they supported anti-bullying for National Bullying Prevention Month. Also, any student who wore blue earned points for their grade for class cup.

“The color blue was chosen by the R.E.A.C.H committee as a sign of anti-bullying awareness,” said Mrs. Hornfeck, a teacher involved with the project.  “The message they were sending was to be respectful to yourself and others. The participation by staff was good but students could have been better.”

Blue was not just a color chosen by the R.E.A.C.H committee, but a symbol that shows awareness of being a kinder person and supporting anti-bullying.

“I believe it was important to wear blue because it showed how our school could all come together as one,” said sophomore Haley Radcliffe.
