Aaron Coplan wins Outstanding Young Citizen Award
For the past 22 years, it has been a Trib Total Media tradition to award students with the Outstanding Young Citizen Award. This year, the program recognized 50 high school students from all around Pittsburgh at a banquet held on April 23 at the Embassy Suites.
Among these students being honored for their achievements was senior Aaron Coplan, nominated by his physics teacher Mr. Cristofano.
Aaron was chosen as one of 10 students to win a gold medal based on his exemplary character, academic achievements, leadership, and community service.
Both inside and outside of school, Aaron goes above and beyond as a senator of SGA, a videographer, and a volunteer who serves meals to senior citizens.
Aaron said, “I just want to thank Mr. Cristofano for nominating me. It was a great event that I was honored to be a part of.”
In college, Aaron plans on majoring in computer science and continuing his hard work. Congratulations Aaron!
