Ground broken for new #BPpond
Students may have noticed some dirt being dug up in the courtyard this week. Believe it or not, we do not have a groundhog problem here at BPHS.
This is the beginning of a pond being created by Mr. Nagel and the Drama Club.
Mr. Nagel, an avid gardener and landscaper, took on the challenge of creating the new pond that is being funded by PACS.
Mr. Nagel brings a shovel or two to school, and the group gets to work after school while singing the song “Dig It Up” from the movie Holes. Mr. Nagel hopes to have the pond finished by the end of the school year.
Drama Club president Abby Martz said, “We hope to include salamanders, fish, and a turtle in the pond!”
Other students have their own hopes for the pond. Senior Taylor Scalise said, “I hope to see a dolphin in the pond.”
We will just have to wait and see how the pond looks at the end of the year!
Have you ever seen a girl in a purple convertible driving around the streets of Bethel Park? That girl is senior, Krista Vandyke. You may recognize her...

Will the pond have pulsating jets? I want somewhere to relax after a long day of being a genius.

Mr. Travis, all of us here at Hawk Eye have high hopes for an Allemander or maybe even an Allegator. Only time will tell.

instead of a salamander, is there any way we could put a wild Allemander in the pond?
