From bagels to parking spots to serenades, SGA has been granting students’ wishes during WISH Week.
The week prior to WISH Week, students were allowed to submit wishes during lunch that SGA may grant throughout the week.
The wishes could be anything the student wanted. While some were much more absurd than others, SGA tried to grant as many as possible.
This was spearheaded by the Random Acts of Kindness Committee within Student Government.
These wishes put in place by the students correspond with the theme of WISH week of raising students’ school spirit.
The wishes that have been granted have been of a wide variety. Some of these wishes were very public. For instance, many may have noticed different news anchors on Wednesday morning.
Some of these wishes were unconventional. Purple socks and an SAT book were two of the things wished for that SGA was able to grant.
Some students wished for a shorter walk in the morning from their car. A number of students received a pass to park in Dr. J or Mr. Johnson’s parking spot for a day.
Some wishes were edible. In fact, many students wished for a breakfast to start off their day. Whether it was individually or for the class, there were many bagels given during WISH Week.
Zach Laufer received one of these bagels as a result of making a wish.
“It really brightened my day,” he said.
Overall, the wishes went very well. There was gratitude expressed both in school and on Twitter.
Kara Cianca, a senior, had her parking wish granted.
“@bpSGA you guys are the bestttt thanks for Mr. Johnson’s parking spot” -@KaraCianca via Twitter.
Perhaps, there will be more opportunities to make even more wishes in the future.
