Walking around the halls of Bethel Park High School on Friday, you saw one thing in particular, an abundance of pink.
This was in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The entire student body was encouraged to support the cause and wear pink to school on Friday. Students were also to wear pink to the football game Friday night.
Mrs. Broderick organized the sale of pink bandanas for support, and also has been the main source promoting the movement.
The bandanas were donated by St. Clair Hospital, and all of the proceeds will go back to the St. Clair Hospital Breast Cancer Center.
Mrs. Broderick said, “I’ve been amazed and so proud of the students.”
When asked what else one could do to help, Broderick said, “For everyone to just be aware.”
Bethel Park has purchased their pink bandanas and dawned their pink attire, now it is time to support the cause during Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
