On April 23, 2013, students walked into school just like any other day. As the students were let out of the cafeteria in the morning, however, they noticed something different about the halls.
Floor three had been lined with balloons to support the Four Diamonds charity event that is being hosted by SGA next Friday. But these balloons promptly disappeared without most students even knowing the reason that they were there.
Four Diamonds is a charity to fight pediatric cancer. Student Government was using the balloons as publicity to inform the students of the event.
By the end of the day, the balloons had all been popped or thrown out.
Matt Serafini, a Student Government representative, said, “This is why we can’t have nice things.”
