Every year, Bethel Park SGA brings a speaker to BPHS for Spirit Week, and this year, comedic speaker Ian Tyson will preform.
Ian is bringing a whole new flavor to motivational speaking. He inspires crowds by exulting comedy with a message. He strives to motivate young people with stories of his youth and relatable high school chronicles.
Ian has been preforming his act for hundreds of schools of all levels since 1989. He uses his master story-telling skills and inspiring experiences to convey a message that will leave you thinking about your day-to-day life.
Growing up in St. Thomas, Ontario and the middle of three children, Ian draws most of his stories from events in his life. Ian originally planned to become a teacher with a degree from Carleton University, but he felt a calling in performance instead.
In addition to his performance at BPHS, Ian will travel up to IMS to do his show for them.
His show “Hero Inside” will be put on for our school during 3rd and 4th period on Tuesday, April 30th. To attend the show, students must pick up a permission slip in the activities office and have it returned by April 23rd.
