Heartland Homes recently conducted an online poll to see which school district seems to be the best in the Pittsburgh Area.
When the results came in, Bethel Park just happened to be rated in the top five best school districts in Pittsburgh. They finished fifth just behind the Moon Area, Pine Richland, Allegheny Valley and Hampton School Districts.
This poll was done to help people moving into the Pittsburgh area get an idea of which school district best suits them. They based their voting on test scores, graduation rates, the budget of the school, and extracurricular activities.
The people who participated in the poll were none other than the people who live in the communities themselves. Heartland Homes polled 1500 residents and also superintendents to see what they feel is the best school district.
Mrs. Vicki Flotta, who has been Director of Public Relations at Bethel Park for many years now, said this when asked why it is so great to live in Bethel Park, “Bethel Park is a district that is committed to educating all of its students and doing everything in its power to provide students with a wide variety of academic, athletic, artistic and extracurricular offerings that will not only help to prepare students for the future, but will also help them to
develop into responsible adults.”
According to Heartland Homes, Bethel Park makes sure each and every student feels valued. Generation after generation of families continue to move back to Bethel Park to raise their own families where they grew up.
The curriculum is very spread out and covers many areas which will prepare them for whatever career the student would like to pursue later in life.
Bethel Park also has great theatre programs, as well as art and athletics to go along with its already great school district.
Mrs. Flotta also told us this when asked what is her favorite part of working in Bethel Park, “My favorite part of working in Bethel Park is seeing the level of caring and commitment toward our students on behalf of every staff member.”
Not to mention they have just recently built a brand new high school with all of the latest technology to help your child further learn and understand subjects while being able to become good with the newest technology. Bethel Park has definitely proved itself to be one of the finer school districts in Pittsburgh.
Mrs. Flotta had one more comment on Bethel Park being rated one of the top five school districts in Pittsburgh. “Bethel Park may be #5 on the Heartland Homes poll, but it’s #1 in my heart!” she said.
