Poor sleep linked to creativity
Many students in high school sleep well and go to bed early; however, it is also common for students to get poor quality sleep and to sleep much later, as well as have somewhat dysfunctional days. The latter category has scientifically been linked to creativity.
If you sleep late and have poor sleep quality, you are likely more creative than your early bird counterparts.
Visually creative people are more likely to lose sleep quality. They are more likely to experience daytime dysfunction and sleep disturbances.
Verbally creative individuals sleep more and go to bed later, waking up later.
Scientists are still performing follow-up studies to find the hows and whys behind their conclusive sleep studies for creative individuals, but for now knowing there is a link is creative itself.
