Molly’s Musings: “Senior Skip Day” should be an excused absence
“Senior Skip Day” is a day that really just speaks for itself. A day where all 12th graders skip school.
However, the day is not considered a REAL day to school officials, as you are still counted absent. But shouldn’t teachers let it slide, since 2/3 of the grade will be MIA?
Let’s be honest, seniors have been waiting for their spotlight since the day they started high school. Everyone looks up to them, they’re the leaders of the school.
Is it really fair to punish them for finally carrying out the tradition of actually being a senior and living the life they’ve been waiting for since their freshman year?
Bethel’s Senior Skip Day will be on the 117th day of school, which is looking to be Thursday, March 9.
