Regan’s Previews: ‘Thor: Ragnarok’
Marvel has a history of producing exciting and adventure-packed movies for all ages to enjoy, and their newest movie Thor: Ragnarok is no exception. With its bright colors and humor, it’s sure to attract quite a lot of attention, so be sure to buy your tickets in advance.
Thor: Ragnarok is about Thor imprisoned in a gladiatorial arena against the Hulk. He must escape and race back to Asgard to save it from the goddess of death, Hela, who wants to destroy it in an event called Ragnarok. Thor has to team up with his brother Loki, the Hulk/Bruce Banner, and Valkyrie in order to win.
The movie stars Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Tom Hiddleston as Loki, Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner/the Hulk, and Tessa Thompson as Valkyrie. Cate Blanchett also stars as Hela, Idris Elba plays Heimdall, and Benedict Cumberbatch makes an appearance as Doctor Strange.
The movie is directed by Taika Waititi whose goal was to bring the Thor movies into a lighter and more comedic scene. He wanted to bring bright colors and tried to emulate the idea of Guardians of the Galaxy.
