Restaurant Review: Burgatory
The night of Tuesday, March 14, I ate at Burgatory in Pittsburgh for my friend’s birthday.
With the off and on snow and unpredictable weather conditions, it was very convenient that we could take the trolley right to it.
Burgatory is a popular restaurant, so it is usually packed at dinner time.
To prevent a 45-minute wait, I downloaded the app No Wait and I put our names in when we were on the trolley. This app then told us how many parties were in front of us and approximately how long until our table was ready. This app ensured that we walked right in and our table was ready.
Burgatory has a large menu of gourmet burgers and appetizers to choose from. I decided to make my own burger. At each table, there is a sheet of paper where you check off how you want your burger made. From various types of meats, cheeses, buns, and toppings, you can personalize your burger just the way you like it.
Other than burgers, Burgatory is known for its famous milkshakes, and of course we couldn’t leave without one. We got the Cookie Monster shake which was thick, creamy, and big enough to share! We got our shake for free because it was my friend’s birthday.
Burgatory is located on North Shore Drive which is very close to Heinz Field and PNC Park, so it is a great place to grab a bite before a game or concert. Other locations are in Robinson, Fox Chapel, Murrysville, Homestead, and inside PPG Paints Arena and Heinz Field.
Rumor has it that there will be a Burgatory coming to Bethel Park right next to the new Whole Foods.
Stop by one of Burgatory’s many locations for a delicious meal!
