This year there have already been a number of great shows and concerts to hit the Pittsburgh area, but there are still many to come.
This year’s list of bands that will be visiting Pittsburgh is impressive.
From bands such as Coheed and Cambria to the American black metal band Enslaved and everything in between, this year’s shows are going to be some of the least forgettable.
Feb 18. The Contortionist- The Smiling Moose (upstairs). The Contortionist is an American progressive metal band formed in 2007 in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Feb 22. Flyleaf/Drowning Pool- Altar Bar. Drowning Pool is a solid American metal band formed in Texas in 1996. Made famous from their song “bodies”.
Feb 25. H20- Altar Bar. H20 is an American punk band formed in New York City in 1995.
Mar 5. Tenacious D- Stage AE. The famous Jack Black and Kyle Gass put on a great comedic rock show for the fans of Pittsburgh.
Mar 15. Slightly Stoopid- Stage AE. Slightly Stoopid is an American folk/punk band formed in San Diego, California.
Mar 22. KMFDM- Mr. Smalls Theatre. KMFDM or Kein Mehrheit Fur Die Mitleid meaning “no pity for the majority”, is a German Industrial rock/show band founded in 1984.
Mar 24/25. As I Lay Dying/ The Devil Wears Prada- Mr. Smalls Theatre.
Apr 8. Excision- Stage AE. Legendary dubstep artist Excision or Jeff Abel from British Columbia.
Apr 15. Exodus 2013- Rex Theatre. Exodus one of the most influential thrash metal bands travels to the east coast to play at the Rex Theatre.
May 8. Alice in Chains- Benedum Center for the Performing Arts. Alice in Chains is an American grunge/rock band formed in Seattle, Washington in 1987.
May 17. Bullet For My Valentine- Stage AE. Bullet For My Valentine, a Welsh metal band formed in 1998 in Bridgend, Wales.
Jul 17. Vans Warped Tour- First Niagara Pavilion. The list of bands attending warped tour this year consists of Motion City Soundtrack, Forever The Sickest Kids, Bless the Fall, Goldfinger, Hawthorne Heights, Woe Is Me, Allstar Weekend, The Summer Set, I See Stars, Outasight, Go Radio, Versaemerge, The Black Dahlia Murder, The Early November, Anarbor, Tonight Alive, Big D and The Kids Table, Oh Sleeper, Man Overboard, Wallpaper, Attila, Stick to Your Guns, Like Moths to Flames, Chariot, Defeater, MC Lars, The Amity Affliction, The Story So Far, Upon A Burning Body, Mac Lethal, While She Sleeps, Big Chocolate, Hands Like House, New Years Day, Action Item, For The Foxes, Middle Finger Salute, Stephan Jacobs, Architects UK, Goldhouse, Itch, Five Knives, Echosmith.
