Flashing Lights, Fashion, Vogue. These are all things that 17-year-old Bethel Park High School senior Thomas Welman strives towards. He has some big dreams for a small town guy.

More commonly known as Tom, he most enjoys participating in art and theatre classes here at BPHS. He is an active member of the Drama Club, and you can also catch him cheering on the Bethel Park marching band. He supports the band in all they do. Tom is a huge advocate of the arts.

You can catch Tom wearing the latest fashions to school. His favorite designs are that of Marc Jacobs, Calvin Klein, and Polo. He tends to wear a lot of Polo because he has a job at the Polo located in Tanger Outlets.  He obtained this awesome job at the end of his junior year of high school. He works around 5 days a week . He is not the only teen that works there though, he says "A lot of kids from Canon Mac work there, and I've made some new friends."  Tom owns so many Polo items of clothing because he gets a whopping thirty percent discount and every once and a while, fifty.

Tom is currently applying to many colleges around the area. He has already sent his transcripts to Kent State and IUP. Tom plans on taking his new Jeep Liberty to college with him. Wherever life takes him, Tom wants to major in fashion merchandising, and he wants to work for a magazine like Vogue.

We can all expect fabulous and exciting articles about fashion and art from our new journalist, Tom Welman.
