Olivia Zeiler, Bethette, vegan, student director, and now JOURNALIST?!!
That’s right, this 17 year-old senior has added another title to her already long list of accomplishments. Olivia is currently a third year Bethette and enjoys it very much. "I miss my friends that graduated last year, but I still love it," Olivia tells me as she remembers all the fun times she has on and off the field with past and present Bethettes.
She also student directed last year's winter musical, Irving Berlin's White Christmas. Olivia enjoyed her time behind the scenes so much last year that she says she wouldn't miss this year's for the world.
Olivia is one of the newest members of Hawk Eye. When asked about the online newspaper she simply stated, “Ermahgerd I’m so excited.” She is currently working on an article about the up and coming fall play and will surely entertain us with that and many more articles to come. Maybe including some cool and fun food features...?
Olivia has a passion not only for delivering the news to the Bethel Park community but also for foods; healthy food. She loves learning about new exotic foods. Being a practicing vegan, Olivia's taste in foods may differ from most. "A vegan doesn't eat any type of animal product," she explains, "no cheese, milk, or even yogurt." That lifestyle could definitely pose as a challenge to some, but Olivia has the drive to eat like this because she believes in it.
When I asked Olivia about her plans for after high school, she simply laughed and said, "I just want a show on the Travel Channel!"
