Passionate. One word to describe Helena Gable, a senior at BPHS, would be passionate. She's passionate about what she believes in, and she isn't afraid to let you know that.

After school most days, Helena can be found working in the mall at Hallmark, practicing her cheerleading, or taking a nap. Helena has been in cheerleading since fifth grade and has been a varsity cheerleader since her junior year. She also is in the NHS and chorus, and she is involved with a charity organization called Inspired Women.

Some of Helena's interests include fashion, baking, photography, politics, and film. She'll never turn down an opportunity to talk about these things if you strike up a conversation with her.

When asked why she wants to be a part of journalism and yearbook, Helena stated, "I've always wanted to be a part of making the yearbook." This is her first year of writing for the paper and she is excited to express her creativity. She also wants to bring controversial opinions to the paper.

After high school, Helena plans to attend Pitt to major in Psychology. She has taken the Psychology and AP Psychology courses here at BPHS. Helena wants to earn her doctorate degree and become a therapist when she is older to help children deal with mental and emotional issues.

When asked if she could have any superpower, Helena would want the power to time travel. She wants to go to the future.

Helena loves to travel and has been to many parts around the world, but she says that her dream vacation would be London and Paris.
