Cross country teams go 1-1 against rival runners

The coed cross country team split decisions with Chartiers Valley and Canon McMillan on Tuesday, Sept. 19.

The boys’ team beat Canon Mac 22-37 (lower score wins) and lost to Char Valley by only one point (28-27).  The girls’ team had similar results. They beat Canon Mac 25-30 but lost to Char Valley 30-26.

On the boys’ side, sophomore Antonio Burkhart came in 3rd place with a time of 19:11, while junior Eli Allridge finished in 7th with a time of 20:19, and senior Ty Miller came in 8th with a time of 20.24.

On the girls’ side, freshman Emily carter came in 3rd place with a time of 23:01, sophomore Sydney Burns placed 5th with a time of 23:38 and senior Haley Radcliffe came in 7th with a time of 24:26.

The boys are currently 2-2 overall and the girls are currently 1-3.

The boys travel to the Uniontown Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 23 and then both girls and boys take on Baldwin on Tuesday, Sept. 26.
