On Wednesday, Sept. 13, the Lady Hawks varsity soccer team tied section rival Upper St. Clair.

One highlight of the game was when sophomore Megan Mathias scored the first goal of the game in the first half.

In the second half, USC scored one goal at 23 minutes left in the game, tying the game up.

It went into two over times of 10 minutes each and no one scored.

The final score was 1-1.

“We came together tonight, it was a very physical game, we rallied together and even though we tied, we fought hard and it’s only going to prepare us for our next section match,” said Coach Melissa Dalbon.

The Lady Hawks host South Park at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 16.
