BPSD transition to SunGard provides many challenges

Beginning with the 2015-2016 school year, Bethel Park schools will transition from Edline to a new program, SunGard ESchoolPLUS.

However, this change proved difficult for many district families to setup. Many were greeted with error messages when attempting to register for the new program.

The school district promptly took action to correct these issues, saying, “Initially many parents were receiving a redirect message when they tried to login and create an account at the Sungard Home Access Center. This problem was resolved by our vendor and the redirect message is no longer appearing.”

Though for families who did succeed in registering, but did not receive an email from the district, there are a few additional steps. The district website advises, “[Some] parents have not received a confirmation email after creating an account. This problem is corrected but, unfortunately, we are unable to go back and resend these emails. If you attempted to create an account and did not receive a confirmation email and are unable to access your account, please call your child’s building to receive your password.”

Despite these initial challenges, many students were still able to access their schedules for the coming school year on August 7.

If problems continue with setting up a Sungard account, contact the school at which your child is in attendance. Contact information is available HERE.
