Steven Tyler helps open Janie’s House

Aerosmith’s lead singer Steven Tyler helped open Janie’s House for abused girls inspired by “Janie’s Got a Gun.”

The new facility opened in Bartlett, Tennessee. It is a part of Youth Villages, an organization that provides families with mental, emotional and behavioral help.

It’s named after the 1989 song “Janie’s Got a Gun” about a girl who gets revenge on her abusive father.

The facility holds up to 14 girls at a time who will receive 24-hour support, and it will help 30 girls a year who have been neglected and/or abused.

Tyler donated $500,00 toward the organization. This is a major step in the help of abuse and neglect cases in the US.
