With election day right around the corner and the last presidential debate recently ending, it’s tough to say who will succeed in becoming the next President of the United States. Running for the Republicans is Mitt Romney, and running for the Democrats is our current president, Barack Obama.
These two have been at it for weeks on end, dating back to the first debate in Denver, Colorado at 9:00 p.m. (eastern time). During that debate, it was easy to succumb to the fact that Romney was indeed more prepared than President Obama. The President, however, did retaliate during the next debate, attacking Mitt Romney left and right. Now with both candidates already on edge, the 3rd and final debate just recently concludes. With only one week left to go, it’s tough to say who has the upper edge.
For the last four years, while Obama was in office, unemployment has risen, the debt has doubled, and his proposals have failed us. The day he took office, was the day our nation took a turn for the worst. His ordeals and plans to help balance the wealth have been unfair and unjust. The way he has dealt with his business, without seeking advice from former presidents, is wrong and uneventful. Seeking the help of a former president is only beneficial for himself; being able to see a past president’s input on a topic they happen to have years of experience in dealing with is the best resource to have available. Unfortunately for us, he doesn’t believe he’s in need of help, and therefore doesn’t seek out any advice.
Our President Barack Obama, does indeed have more plans in contributing to our country’s so called success as of lately. He has a new long-term economic plan to invest in education, infrastructure and tax cuts for companies that quite possibly could bring jobs back to the United States. Aside from just that, he plans on cutting taxes by $3,600 for the typical middle class family making $50,000 a year over. So generally speaking, Obama offers nothing new nor beneficial, as to which Mitt Romney has mind-blowing plans…
Mitt Romney, has devised the picture perfect “5 Point Plan”. This well orchestrated plan first starts by wanting to achieve energy independence by 2020 and saving millions of dollars in doing so. Part two of his plan is to TRADE! Mitt thinks he can create a multitude of jobs by trading in various ways internationally, where potentially opening up a whole new market due to trading is very possible. Aside from trading, part three to Romney’s plan consists of providing everyone with equal, higher education programs, so that way the unemployed can become educated. In regards to that, this also opens up a ton more jobs that would require teaching degrees of some sort. Part four to Romney’s plan is the most crucial, focusing solely on America’s debt. He wants to accomplish this by reducing the government. Mitt Romney feels as if the government has too much power over American Citizens. Part five, which pretty much continues part four, is cutting down comprehensive tax reform, which lowers tax rates for all Americans. That’s not all, with doing that he wants to pursue the matter further by cutting back on the red tape that drives up cost and discourages hiring.
There is no doubt that our current president is obviously qualified for the role of running America. The only problem is, over the last four years, has he really been doing a good job of managing our country? I ask myself that question too. To put it in perspective, I think America needs change, and by no means am I trying to say that Mitt Romney is the answer. However considering that the Presidental Election is between Obama vs. Romney, I do believe it’s time for some change because President Barack Obama is not the answer.
To summarize things, Obama (Democrat) and Romney (Republican), are essentially the only two candidates running for the next president of the United States of America. The results of the last election, four years ago, concluded with the Democratic political party seizing the majority control of the Government/Presidency. Previous to the 2008 election, it had been nearly 8 years since the Democrats had majority control of either. During those 8 years, the Republican party did indeed have America running at optimal performance. Aside from just trying to run America, the Republican President, George Bush, in fact dealt with terrorism attacks while simultaneously running our nation. The Republican party’s track record shows, and in my eyes, comes across as the better choice above all else. In crucial times such as these, our nation, the United States of America, needs change, and by change, I mean a new leader for our nation because over the past four years it’s hard to believe we had one…
