Restaurant: Waffles INCaffeinated

Waffles INCaffeinated is one of the best breakfast places in Pittsburgh. Sometimes there’s a long waiting list, but the food is worth it.

The dish(es) I tried were the Funky Monkey and Southwest Omelette (with home fries).

The Funky Monkey was a light, crispy, chocolate chip waffle, topped with fresh bananas, peanut butter chiffon, and a section of a Hershey’s chocolate bar (stuck in the peanut butter). The waffle also had drizzled chocolate syrup, and a dusting of powdered sugar. The waffle was at least the size of half the plate. It was absolutely delicious.

The Southwest Omelette was also delicious. The omelette had sweet and hot peppers, chorizo sausages, American cheese, and fresh pico de gallo. This omelette took up most of the plate. It was spicy, but still good.

The last food item was the home fries. The home fries were different, but good. Instead of having just regular potatoes, they had purple potatoes, sweet potatoes, and red potatoes.

Waffles INCaffeinated is a great restaurant. 10/10, would recommend…
