Boys celebrate after a goal against Lebo on May 2.

Congratulations to the boys’ varsity lacrosse team on their first ever Section Championship!

After an exciting season, the boys’ lacrosse team has earned a home playoff game!

“We won the section and got a high seed, which we are very happy about, and I’m proud of all the guys for that,” said junior Gavin Campbell.

The team will meet Fox Chapel in the 1st round of the WPIAL Playoffs on Tuesday, May 16 at 8 p.m. at BPHS Stadium! Click here for the bracket.

“The thing about Fox Chapel is that they lost some talent with the senior class that they lost last year, but they’ve rebounded very well this year and show promise. We scrimmaged them earlier, but we’re both different teams now,” explained Campbell.

Tickets will be on sale at the gate only: Adults $7.00/ Students $5.00

Come cheer the boys on as they move on toward the WPIAL Championship finals.

“We’re keeping it one game at a time. I feel like we’re hitting our stride right now and that is very good for the playoffs because it means that we will be playing at our best for playoffs. We honestly are ready for a deep run. The team as a whole feels great and we are super excited to play [Fox Chapel]. But, we all know it starts with Fox and we will bring all the energy we can to this game and will leave it all on the field,” said Campbell.

Go Hawks!
